Turn the Tables

TURN the Tables is ideal for whole class instruction, small group instruction, remedial instruction, one-to-one tutorial instruction, for enrichment, for those students working independently and for home school instruction.

Throughout the instruction students are presented with visual, auditory, kinesthetic, tactile and rhythmic associations to the multiplication facts. Initially, students are asked to focus on the printed answers as they say them orally. Body movements such as dipping a shoulder and stomping a foot are added to emphasize particular associations creating additional memory pathways. Finally, in keeping with the multisensory method of instruction, tactile and rhythmic modalities are incorporated to open additional pathways of learning. The sequential nature and predictability of TURN the Tables increases student confidence & makes the challenge of learning the times tables Fun, Fast and Easy.
Your TURN the Tables Binder includes ALL of the following:

Method of Instruction - This script will guide you through the -step by step- procedure for teaching the times tables using TURN the Tables' unique multisensory method.

Answer Keys - At the back of each section you will find Answer Keys to all the workbook pages and tests.

Certificate of Completion - A Certificate of Completion can be awarded to students who have completed the TURN the Tables program. Students deserve to be recognized for their perseverance and hard work.

Glossary of Terms - Simplified terminology is used throughout the program for clarification and understanding. The glossary is for those students who want to know the technical names of specific numbers and concepts.

Place Value Chart - Starting with Section One students will be calculating problems that have products that get into the hundred thousands place. By studying the Place Value Chart students will learn how to read numbers through the billions.

Pre/Post Assessment - Use this to accurately determine where your student/s should begin TURN the Tables. This assessment should be given again at the conclusion of the program to pinpoint areas that may need to be reviewed.

Review Tests - Tests with both 50 and 100 problems are included at the end of each section to help determine if the student is ready to advance to the next section. Each section includes two tests that focus on the number just introduced and two cumulative tests to check for recall of previously taught material.
The detailed table of contents page will guide you to specific levels of complexity in order to quickly find just the right material for that day's lesson.
Worksheets include many examples for students to use as a reference. Having examples easily available makes it easier to recall the process. Students often complain of not having enough space to show their work on traditional worksheets. TURN the Tables offers ample working space on all of its worksheets. Each section, Section One through Section Twelve, includes sixteen worksheets, four practice tests and three answer sheets. Worksheets for each of the twelve numbers are presented in increasing difficulty from multiplying by one digit to multiplying by four digits. Students work at their own pace progressing as quickly as they are able but taking as much time as they need for mastery of the material. Worksheets should be corrected to monitor accuracy but not assigned a "grade".
